Ascend through heath and moorland, enjoying views of Mawenzi and Kibo peaks.

Acclimatization Hike: To Zebra Rocks (3,980 m / 13,058 ft) or Mawenzi Ridge (4,300 m / 14,107 ft)

A short acclimatization trek to Zebra Rocks and Mawenzi Ridge helps your body adjust to altitude. Return to Horombo Hut for lunch and relaxation.

Cross the alpine desert with expansive views, arriving at Kibo Hut to rest and prepare for summit night.

A midnight start leads you via Gilman’s Point (5,685 m / 18,652 ft) to Uhuru Peak – the Roof of Africa. After celebrations, descend back to Horombo Hut.

Final descent through the rainforest. Collect your summit certificates at Marangu Gate, then transfer back to Moshi.
